The Angkor Dance Troupe helped welcome in the Cambodian New Year: Year of the Rabbit by supporting the performance Master Artist Ieng Sithul and Artist-In-Residence Kimhan Meas from the Royal University of Fine Arts as reported in an article in lowell.com. The celebration will be held at the Lowell Senior Center, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. The Angkor Dance Troupe will perform a one hour dance performance at noon. The Angkor Dance Troupe was featured in the New York Social Diary after performing in East Hampton at the LongHouse Reserve annual Summer Galawill.
March 29, 2009 -- Dance instructors Samnang Hor and Linda Sou featured in a Lowell Sun article
Dance instructors Samnang Hor and Linda Sou were featured in a front page article in the Lowell Sun on Oct 29, 2010. Samnang has been with the dance troupe for over 10 years and journeyed to Washington, DC to dance before the President along with other members of the dance troupe. He also received the Coming Up Taller Award.
Likewise Linda Sou was highlighted in the article, reflecting on the many contributions she has made to Cambodian dance in the Lowell Area. Both Samnang and Linda are dance instructors at the troupe. Samnang plans to attend college at the beginning of next year.
