On #GivingTuesday, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching up to $2 million of funds raised on Facebook for US nonprofits. Facebook is also waiving its fees for donations made to nonprofits on Facebook this #GivingTuesday. Donations to nonprofits made through Facebook’s charitable giving tools on November 28th will be matched up to $50,000 per nonprofit or $1,000 per fundraiser or donate button, until the $2 million in matching funds run out. The match will begin at 12AM EST.
The Angkor Dance Troupe is proud to have former dancers and members as current staff and community leaders throughout Lowell, MA. As we continue programming, we hope to develop the next generation of Junior Instructors and Dancers to contribute to the success of the organization and their personal and professional development.
We need your help! If 1,000 of our Facebook supporters and friends donate $20 each on November 28th to be matched, this means we raise enough funds to ensure our programming for Cambodian arts and culture can stay open until the end of the year. These programs benefit young individuals to provide skills and opportunities to become leaders personally and professionally.
Your donation will fund:
$50 = one student's tuition for one semester
$100 = one student's tuition for one year (two semesters)
$400 = employment of one Junior Instructor for one semester
$800 = employment of one Junior Instructor for one year (two semesters)
$1000 = supports one year of youth dance programming
Custom donation amounts are also available.
All donations are tax-deductible.
Please learn more about our Junior Instructors and Dancers as they answer how long they've been dancing with Angkor Dance Troupe, why they choose to stay, and one thing they would want others to know about our organization that someone may not know. (Click photo below for interview.)
