


Stéphanie Khoury, Ph.D.

Stéphanie Khoury, Ph.D. is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Music at Tufts University, where she brings a deep scholarly and personal commitment to Cambodian performing arts. She earned her doctorate from the Université de Paris Ouest-Nanterre with a dissertation on Lkhon Khol, the Khmer all-male masked dance-drama, and spent five years in Cambodia and Thailand conducting field research and engaging with local artists.
Stephanie’s research has been supported by grants from institutions in France, Cambodia, and the U.S., and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and anthologies in both English and French. She has served in leadership roles with the Société Française d'Ethnomusicologie and the Society for Ethnomusicology, focusing on music, social justice, and cross-cultural dialogue.
She is honored to serve on the Angkor Dance Troupe’s Board of Directors and is committed to supporting ADT’s mission of cultural preservation, education, and community empowerment.
