Dear Friends and Supporters:
With great excitement, we announce the first Angkor Dance Troupe (ADT) Gala on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Pailin City Restaurant in Lowell, Massachusetts. The event will take place from 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM and feature a Live Band, Silent Auction, and Raffle to benefit ADT’s work in our community. The Gala also takes place during Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, which recognizes and celebrates the cultures, traditions, and histories of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
We would love to have you participate in this historic celebration. We cordially invite you to consider opportunities to support our Gala in May. You could:
-
Become a sponsor
-
Donate to our silent auction and “fund-a-need” fundraisers
-
Attend the event
Angkor Dance Troupe’s mission is to connect communities through the preservation, education, and innovation of Cambodian performing arts. Since Tim Chan Thou established the organization in 1986, Angkor Dance Troupe has touched the lives of over 6,000 youth, the majority of whom have gone on to college and become teachers, nurses, civic leaders, and professionals. They point to ADT as an integral part of their journey to learning about discipline, hard work, and leadership. Our work with youth is a vivid example of the power of the arts to transform lives.
Over the years, supporters like you have made Angkor Dance Troupe’s success possible. On May 19, we will celebrate all supporters from across our diverse community – from nonprofit, industry, government, and education sectors, from public and private organizations, and from every cultural and ethnic background. We look forward to celebrating the richness of culture in the city of Lowell while raising funds to support ADT’s educational and youth empowerment programs.
Please refer to the card enclosed for further information on sponsorship and tickets. Your support will help us to provide free performances in Lowell and enable the ADT to produce high-quality, culturally enriching experiences for all to enjoy.
