Angkor Dance Troupe Founder, Tim Thou and Executive Director, Bora Chiemroum sit with CityLine Host, Karen Holmes Ward

We're excited to announce that Angkor Dance Troupe will be featured on a segment of Boston's local news station, WCVB's CityLine. Tune into the segment that will air live on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 12:00PM Eastern Standard Time.

Founder Tim Thou and Executive Director Bora Chiemroum were interviewed by Karen Holmes Ward.

Karen Holmes Ward is the Director of Public Affairs and Community Services as well as host and executive producer of CityLine, WCVB’s award-winning weekly magazine program which addresses the accomplishments, concerns and issues facing people of color living in Boston and its suburbs. Many notables including Oscar winners Regina King, Lupita Nyong’o, Forest Whitaker, Octavia Spencer, Denzel Washington, Louis Gossett Jr., Barry Jenkins and Spike Lee among others have been interviewed by Karen for CityLine. From indigenous communities to recent immigrant arrivals, Padma breaks bread with Americans across the nation to uncover the roots and relationship between our food, our humanity and our history - ultimately revealing stories that challenge notions of identity, belonging, and what it means to be American.

Season 2, Episode 8: In the symbolic heart of America's industrial past, Padma travels to #Lowell, Massachusetts and sees how #Cambodian immigrants (and their cooking) have become the backbone for the revival of this New England Town.
